Milwaukee's Mayor will declare June 16, 2016, 'BoDeans Day'

On April 16, 1986, the BoDeans released their debut album "Love & Hope & Sex & Dreams." The album was produced by legendary T-Bone Burnett. 30 years later, The Milwaukee County Historical Society will celebrate this album release with a presentation of the mayoral proclamation declaring  June 16, 2016 is "BoDeans Day."

The proclamation will take place at 12:30pm at the Historical Society. In addition to the proclamation, the Historical Society will also host the opening of the BoDeans Anniversary Exhibition from noon to 1:30pm. There will also be samples of the new BoDeans Original Ginger Brew by Sprecher Brewery. The BoDeans will also perform their new single "My Hometown," which will be released that day.

The event is free and open to the public. The Milwaukee Country Historical Society is located at 910 N. Old World Third St.
