Milwaukee’s Jazz in the Hood returns for the 4th year in a new location. On July 8 from 4pm to 9pm, Jazz in the Hood will take place on 4th St. between North Ave. Garfield Ave. In addition to live music, there will be food trucks. Plus, this year’s event will also be dedicated to the awareness of bone marrow and blood donations.
This year the festival is part of #BronzevilleSummer, which is an inaugural series in the Bronzeville Cultural and Entertainment District. The series include events like Juneteenth, Garfield Days Festival, Jazale’s Art Studio Youth Programs, and Bronzeville Week. This public program series will celebrate African-American culture by focusing on local creative entrepreneurial talent with art performances and installations, markets for youth and adults including a business summit, and health, wellness and housing resources.
