Iceage brings Danish vaudeville punk rock to Studio Milwaukee

Before their show last week at the Cactus Club, Iceage stopped by Radio Milwaukee to make their debut on the US airwaves with a session on 88Nine. The quartet from Denmark played their stylish post-punk rock for us with songs off their new record, "Beyondless."

Listen to the performance and interview below.
Though Elias Rønnenfelt is a frontman of few words, the dynamic sound and sharp lyrics of Iceage speak for the whole band.

They started with "The day the music dies," followed by "Thieves like us." Then, after talking about making their music in a tower and dropping out of high school, they closed the show with "Catch it."

Since they were formed in 2008, Iceage has been singer and guitarist Elias Bender Rønnenfelt, guitarist Johan Suurballe Wieth, bassist Jakob Tvilling Pless and drummer Dan Kjær Nielsen. Though their sound has certainly evolved since then, their dark grittiness is still at the core of their new eclectic vaudville sound on "Beyondless."
