This is just for the fall and this schedule is major. There are several weekends with multiple concerts. That goes to show the improved logistics of the new arena and that the booking leadership is really making concerts a priority in the new space. And most of these shows are either sold out, close to selling out or selling very well. The Forum isn’t even officially open yet, but we’re excited about what it’s already bringing to Milwaukee.
Fall concert preview
In the Journal Sentinel, Piet gave us all a very comprehensive guide to concerts in Milwaukee this fall (not including sold-out or almost sold-out shows). Here’s what we’re looking forward to from his list:
Neko Case at the Pabst – September 5
Amanda Shires at the Back Room @ Colectivo – September 7
Fantastic Negrito at the Back Room @ Colectivo – September 16
Jeff Tweedy at the Pabst – September 19
MC50 at Turner Hall – September 25
Bad Bunny at the Rave – September 29
CHVRCHES at the Riverside – October 4
Hip Hop Royalty Tour at the Miller High Life Theater – October 6
Troye Sivan at the Eagles Ballroom – October 20
Ed Sheeran at Miller Park – October 23
Maxwell at the Riverside – November 20
Mac Miller at the Eages Ballroom – November 30
The Bradley Center held a total of 17 concerts in its peak year. Already, there are 14 booked at the Forum. (We all agreed to calling it the Forum right?) Needless to say, concerts in Milwaukee this fall are going to be big.
Each Thursday morning on Radio Milwaukee, the Journal Sentinel’s Piet Levy and 88Nine’s Jordan Lee talk about the music coming into Milwaukee and the music coming out of Milwaukee on Tap’d In.
