This week would have been Irish Fest, and not just any Irish Fest: the 40th anniversary edition of the festival. But in its place, Irish Fest has created an extensive virtual festival.
It's an ambitious, four-night virtual festival that will be broadcast on Irish Fest's website, YouTube and Facebook pages, with more than 30 hours of content, ranging from archival Irish Fest sets, at-home performances, author conversations, cooking demonstrations, tours, children's programming and more. We Banjo 3, Gaelic Storm, Eileen Ivers and Clare Sands are all among the performers doing exclusive at-home performances.
The festival kicks off tonight with a cooking tutorial from Chef Brian Ward at Ward's House of Prime and the local duo Frogwater.
