In August of 2015 I got a chance to travel to the beautiful city of San Diego, California. A clear mission of mine was to explore different neighborhoods and take in some of the culture San Diego had to offer. I came across a dynamic neighborhood called North Park, reminiscent of the East Side hear in Milwaukee. I found quaint coffee shops, antique stores, local dining, and a vast amount art plastered on its concrete walls, electrical boxes and man hole covers. What I did not anticipate was finding a record store with current music and vinyl at that! Ivan owns this musical one stop and it's called United Records & Sound. You can purchase new and old vinyl, rent or buy equipment, and even pay for studio time to create mixes or master projects. I got a chance to speak to him about music, the business, and the state of House Music in San Diego. It was an honor having such a legend and musical pioneer on the show.
