Brian (X the Owl) has been heavily involved in music and music theory since a young age. Classically trained on the piano and saxophone, music has been his passion from the age of six. During the 80's and 90's, New Wave and Industrial music largely shaped his love for electronic music.
It was in the Midwest U.S. rave scene of the 1990's that Brian got introduced to house music. Immediately, Brian gravitated to Chicago house sound that he was hearing which was heavily disco oriented from DJs like Derrick Carter, DJ Sneak, Paul Johnson, Stacy Kidd, and Gene Farris. Ever since then, Brian's been a true student of house music, listening to anything he could get his hands on.
Brian spins a wide variety of house tracks, ranging from deep, tech, disco, to soulful. His signature sound includes big bouncy basslines and long harmonic blended mixes that transition tracks from genre to genre, but keep feet moving from start to finish. Years of digging and collecting unique tracks that fit his style ensures that two sets will never be the same, and will give the crowd something to remember.
