You can catch Catfish and the Bottlemen at The Rave on Friday. DJ Premier

Known as 1/2 of the legendary hip hop duo Gang Starr, DJ Premier has produced some of hip hop's biggest tracks.  He has produced tracks for D'Angelo, Jay-Z, Notorious B.I.G., KRS-One, NAS, and many more.  You can catch this legendary producer and DJ will grace the stage of the Miramar tonight at 9:00pm. Milwaukee's Klassik, B Justice,  and Yo Dot will open for the show.

Catfish and The Bottlemen

Among the many things Welsh rockers Catfish and The Bottlemenhave going for them is the fact that they are killer live. If straight up guitar rock, mosh pits and an occasional crowd surf are your thing then The Rave is the place to be this Friday night. Their sound is is as lean as the band is lanky and if their sound has a lineage, its gotta be in the vein of bands like the Strokes, Oasis, Kings of Leon, the Kooks and Arctic Monkeys.

For me however, it's the legend that seems to be building behind these cats, of the relentless touring in a beat-up van just playing shows and paying mad dues that has an old-school vibe to it and makes me feel their success is hard earned and deserved.

Friday at 7pm @ The RAVE  2401 West Wisconsin Ave. Milwaukee

#3

Juiceboxxx + Queen Tut

Queen Tut is one of Milwaukee's rising hip hop artists. However, this will be one of the few more times you can catch her live in Milwaukee.  Queen Tut will be moving to New York at the end of July.  Queen Tut will be joining Milwaukee's own Juiceboxxx for amazing show at Circle A in Riverwest at 8:00pm.
