MakesGiving: Holiday Make-a thon, is a free community event hosted by the Milwaukee Makerspace on Black Friday, November 29th, 2019 from 1pm-5pm. Join us in Bay View, WI at the Milwaukee Makerspace, for hands-on gift-making workshop stations where you will to learn new skills and create unique holiday gifts for friends, family, or yourself! Each guest (adults and kids!) receives 10 free activity tickets to take to any of the workshop stations when you arrive. You can make one of each gift or you can make multiples of your favorites – use you tickets however you like!

Is this event good for kids?
This event is great for kids ages 5 – 105! We have a number of workshops that are well suited for younger children, such as DIY stamped wrapping paper, crayon melt ornaments, candle dipping, and the low-temp hot glue creation station with Laser Bits and Popsicle Sticks.

We also have advanced workshops for older kids, such as scroll-saw ornaments, leather punching keychains, the science of home-made sugar scrub, and learn-to-solder led pins. Adults are welcome to partake in ANY of the workshops – this is all all-ages hands-on making event.

If you have children younger than five in your group, they are most certainly welcome, however activities for the tiny-tots are limited and you may want to work on projects together.
