SEPTEMBER FOCUS: Mental Health & Your Menopause Journey
What is a Menopausal Monday Mixer? video: https://youtu.be/H-59sYPQweA
Let’s talk, connect, relax, vent, laugh and create a safe space where we,
as women, can lift each other up as we grow into our power.
Special guest, Barb Stutz, LCSW of Matthias Stutz & Associates SC will help us explore mental health through the journey of menopause at The Sugar Maple, 441 E Lincoln Avenue on Monday, September 19th, 2022, at 6:00 p.m.
Join Barb and Push MKE’s Julie Rowley as they open up about their own menopausal journeys and encourage others to share their stories and insights with the group during this 90-minute mixer.
Tickets for “Menopausal Monday Mixer” are $10 each or $15 for two and available now on Eventbrite: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/380095785727 and at the door the night of the event.
If someone would like to attend and are unable to pay, they may request a ticket at [email protected]
“I believe we need community more than ever in the menopausal experience,” shares Barb Stutz, “To feel connected and that we belong is an innate human longing. Our culture’s ‘rugged individualism’ often invites a host of mental health issues in general and aging and hormonal challenges can lead us to feel very isolated and alone. This mixer will provide a space to share stories, perspectives, and tips on navigating this time and will also hopefully provide some laughs and some comfort in connecting and knowing you are not alone.”
Menopausal Monday Mixer is an uplifting, informative, relaxing and welcoming group of women who meet monthly to create community by supporting each other through engaging and entertaining topics. All women, 21 and older, are encouraged to attend; you do not need to be in the midst of menopause to participate.
“I believe we, as women, have a deep sense of wisdom and power growing within us,” says Push MKE’s Julie Rowley, “I want to celebrate that power, lift each other up, and learn from each other. Just as there are parent groups when children are born, we need a group for women that helps us navigate all the getting older stuff that we tend to deal with by ourselves. Menopause feels different in each person, doctors don’t know what to tell us for the most part, and no one wants to hear what we are going through. We need each other to know we are not alone.”
