Annual Fish Boil & Honey Moon Quad Bottle Release Party
October 8 @ 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm$20
West Allis-based nano-brewpub Layman Brewing will hold their second annual Fish Boil event on Saturday, October 8th from 5-8pm.
Inspired by north woods fish boils, Layman’s brewer Kyle Ida will trade his malted grain for a kettle of fish, potatoes and vegetables in herbed stock. Bring your friends and maybe some table games to play while you watch your dinner simmering al fresco.
The evening’s menu boasts all the usual fish boil accompaniments, including rye bread and lemon wedges, scratch coleslaw, and Layman’s unique onion-based tartar sauce, followed by cheesecake topped with homemade fruit compote.
This event also serves as the release party for their newest bottled beer: Honey Moon Quad, a Belgian Quad made with caramelized orange blossom honey that takes inspiration from Medovik, a traditional Ukrainian layered honey cake. Aged 8 months before release, this autumn warmer is bright amber in color, with rich honey and burnt sugar flavors, toasty malt notes, and a touch of spice.
Diners are encouraged to bring layers and a sense of adventure as this October feast will be held outdoors.
Dinner tickets are $20 and available in person at Layman Brewing or online at www.eventbrite.com/e/layman-brewings-annual-fish-boil-bottle-release-party-tickets-410044794017
