Welcome to the 7th annual IndiaFest Milwaukee, the official India Day of Wisconsin. Experience essence of India in State of Wisconsin; beyond borders, boundaries, language, religion and region, brought to you by Spindle India, Inc., non-profit 501c3 organization bridging gap between India and USA. "Indian-American's contribution to the culture, educational and economic fabric of the State of Wisconsin is tremendous and much appreciated", said former Governor of Wisconsin, Mr. Scott Walker. A large scale celebration of 'India' with vibrant traditional attires, authentic Indian cuisine, and classical to contemporary music and dance, atmosphere that brings diversity, history, heritage, cultures to the land of Wisconsin for you to gain an unique experience. A diversity and inclusion focused initiative that helps individuals, businesses and corporations collaborate, network, connect and grow. Observation of Indian Independence day in the land of Wisconsin, surrounded by influential people of our community, since 2013 has been an special aspect and feature that ties India and USA.

"IndiaFest is part of the great local tradition of celebrating and showcasing the diverse cultures and heritages that make up our community," said Milwaukee County Executive Chris Abele. "Whether it's sampling delicious food, enjoying dancing and live music, or simply meeting friendly people and maybe learning something new, there's something for everyone at IndiaFest." With 1.4B population, India is worlds largest democracy, once a wealthy civilization of the world (many centuries ago), India has deep cultural history and heritage. "Spindle India, Inc's mission of bridging the US/India gap by encouraging community and economic development is an important one. By providing an engaging way for the Milwaukee community to experience Indian culture, IndiaFest helps foster the diversity that makes our society flourish.", said Congressman of United States, Mr. Raja Krishnamoorthi. "There is no better way for families and friends to learn about Indian culture," said Purnima Nath, Founder, Chairwoman, and President of Spindle India Inc., and the event's organizer and producer. "We are weaving happiness as we bring people together through collaboration. Our goal is to weave India's colorful cultural threads into the rich multicultural tapestry of American culture." India comprises 29 states and 7 union territories. Each has a unique combination of language, traditions, religion, clothing, and history. "This myriad of diversity comes together in our celebration," Nath said. "Diversity is the blood of globalism. Inclusiveness is the mantra of living", she adds.
