5PM-10PM | 1451 RENAISSANCE PLACE
Join us on Saturday, February 23 for our 11th annual party with a purpose! Carnival Milwaukee is UEDA’s citywide celebration of culture and diversity held at 1451 Renaissance Place from 5PM-10PM (food tasting starts at 6:00pm). Over 300 guests will join us to sample local cuisine from over 20 local restaurants, dance to live world music played by De La Buena, watch and participate in cultural dance performances by Salsabrosa and engage in cross-cultural conversations with other party-goers.
WHAT IS CARNIVAL MILWAUKEE?
Milwaukee is known as the City of Festivals, holding individual ethnic and cultural festivals each year. Carnival Milwaukee is an annual event that celebrates ALL of our ethnic and cultural heritages. Attendees join us dressed in Mardi Gras-style costumes and cultural attire to enjoy music, exotic dishes and live entertainment that represents regions around the world.
Through this annual fundraiser, UEDA provides the Milwaukee community with a space to come together across deeply rooted geographic and cultural boundaries for meaningful cross-cultural interactions. Through locally produced ethnic food, music, art and dance, we aim to give attendees a deeper appreciation and understanding of Milwaukee’s cultural and ethnic mosaic.
