7th Annual Puerto Rican Festival
Sunday, August 4
11am – 7pm
Humboldt Park in Bay View
The 7th Annual Puerto Rican Festival is the only Latino event in the
State of Wisconsin that recognizes the Puerto Rican culture and community.
Held in Milwaukee, this festival draws thousands of people from all over
Wisconsin and the Midwest. This gathering celebrates our rich culture with
authentic Puerto Rican and Caribbean cuisine, live music, cultural dancing,
arts & craft, a children’s area, and much more.
More than a festival, its a family picnic.
What makes the Puerto Rican Family Festival unique is that it allows
festival-goers the opportunity to participate with their families as a picnic.
Many Puerto Rican Families bring blankets, folding chairs, tables, foods
and spend the day with us.
Last year we celebrated a milestone, 100 years of Puerto Ricans being
American citizens. But equally important to us, was that more than 15,000
people attended the Puerto Rican family festival. I can not recall a Puerto
Rican Festival in Milwaukee that had that many attendees.
