88Nine On-Air Staff / Digital ConsultantHometown:
I originally hail from Houston and made the move to Milwaukee in the summer of 2022 for a job opportunity … ended up falling in love with my wife and the Midwest!
Hobbies:
Making (bad) music, watching other people make good music, exploring MKE’s food scene, trivia, running, biking, paddle boarding, chess and video games.
First/favorite concert:
Foo Fighters at Buzzfest circa ’98. Many firsts were had that day — crowd surfing, mosh pit. An all-time memory for sure. Favorite show so far has to be Tame Impala at Red Rocks in 2016. Amazing.
Favorite place to take a visitor in Milwaukee:
South Shore Terrace is one of the coolest views of the city when the sun is setting. Brunch at Cafe on the Plaza followed by a stroll through Veterans Park is also pretty nice... but you can never go wrong with the Arby's on Miller Park Way.
Favorite band/artist of all time:
Hard to pick just one as I tend to fluctuate on this, but Zeppelin is consistently up there for me.
Comfort drink:
A Paloma from Cloud Red.
How/why you got into radio:
Growing up, I always had a great admiration for broadcasters like Stuart Scott, Howard Cosell, John Madden, Gus Johnson, Kevin Harlan, Mike Breen and Liev Schreiber, among others. Being able to eloquently describe what's happening while also having amazing pipes was fascinating to me.
