Each week on This Bites, dining critic Ann Christenson from Milwaukee Magazine and Radio Milwaukee’s resident foodie Tarik Moody dig into the city’s culinary and restaurant culture to help you find new spots, old favorites and the best ingestibles around Milwaukee.

Here on This Bites, we take the very controversial stance that food events are great. We’re always ready for a lunch or a dinner or a breakfast or anything between at one of the many fantastic options in the Milwaukee area. But bring a whole bunch of those fantastic options to one place and let us try them all? Count us in.

Now that you know where we stand on that, we can talk about one such event coming up March 8. Let’s Talk Womxn Milwaukee is pulling together more than 20 food and drink entrepreneurs from across the city to celebrate not only their efforts, but also International Women’s Day, which not coincidentally is that same day.

It would be a disservice to these talented individuals to highlight some but not all, so I’ll just say you’ll get to try a lot of tasty stuff at this event. It’s happening at The Starling right on the Milwaukee River, and you can get all the important information — including who’s serving and how to get tickets — on the event webpage.

As for what else we’ve got going on around the city right now:

No twists from us. We’ll keep bringing you the culinary news from around Milwaukee, and in return we’d appreciate a review, like or share wherever you find us. Subscribing wouldn’t hurt, either. Thanks for listening.
