Words can sum up what our State of Sound felt like for this episode, and you can definitely get a sense from the audio version. But this was one of those shows where you needed to be here at our Radio Milwaukee space to truly understand what transpired. Student artwork lined the walls, smiling faces from several cultures lit up the room, and the sounds and movement of these young talented people fueled the entire afternoon.
TRUE Skool teaming up with Radio Milwaukee stations 88Nine and HYFIN created a perfect marriage of community, music and culture. The organization's "be about it" approach was front and center for the 200+ in attendance, who enjoyed all four pillars of hip-hop True Skool follows (DJ'ing, MC'ing, graffitti and breakdancing).
