Bay View's food-centric "micro-festival" Fat Fest is returning for a second year.
Last June Crafty Cow and Hot Head Fried Chicken held its inaugural Fat Fest on Lenox Street just off of Kinnickinnic Avenue in Bay View. Today the businesses revealed that the event will be back for a second year of food, art and tunes (hence the "FAT" acronym) on Saturday, Aug. 17, from noon to 8 p.m.
As Milwaukee Record reports, the event will feature an expanded roster of outdoor food vendors including Lumpia City, The Vanguard, Tots of the Street and Scratch Ice Cream. "Madison-based Plain Spoke will have canned cocktails available on-site, and beer will be handled by Third Space and 3 Sheeps (including a collaborative beer the two breweries will make for the occasion)," Tyler Maas writes. Crafty Cow and Hot Head will be serving food inside their restaurants.
The event will also feature live demos from Milwaukee Blacksmith and, of course, local music, with a lineup that includes Lorde Fredd33, No No Yeah Okay, Saebra & Carlyle, Surgeons in Heat and Rexxx.
Here's the complete lineup:
1:30 -2:10 Rexxx
2:40- 3:25 Saebra & Carlyle
3:55- 4:40 NO/NO
5:10 - 6:10 No No Yeah Okay
6:40 - 7:40 Lorde Fredd33
