Bring some brise-soleil to your weekends with Lakeside at MAM

Want to spend part of your summer enjoying the great outdoors in the company of Calatrava? The Milwaukee Art Museum will afford you that opportunity when Lakeside at MAM takes over the East Lawn for three weekends later this warm-weather season.

The free, all-ages event covers six days as we’re winding down the summer (try not to think about it quite yet): July 29-30, Aug. 12-13 and Aug. 19-20 — all Saturdays and Sunday from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. You’re invited to use the seating/tables already on-site or bring your own picnic setup while enjoying a variety of activities that earn their “all-ages” claim, from hands-on art making in the Kohl’s Art Studio to live music and DJs.

Regarding that last part, this is where we disclose that a couple members of the Radio Milwaukee family will join the programming. Dori Zori from 88Nine will relocate Kids’ Disco from our Walker’s Point studios to the museum grounds from 3-4 p.m. Saturday, July 29; and HYFIN’s Anthony “A-Biz” Foster will spin from 2-4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 12.
