Our Milwaukee Film Festival pick for Saturday, October 20

During the fest, Milwaukee Film’s Kpolly and I will be doing a Cinebuds Milwaukee Film Festival pick of the day. Each day we'll pick a film that you should see on the next day, so you'll have plenty of time to plan.

Listen to our conversation and read more below to find out more about the film we're choosing for October 20.

Our pick for October 20: "The First Patient"

Synopsis: Local filmmaker Chip Duncan takes us behind the scenes as first-year medical students are introduced to the first patient they'll ever work on: human cadavers to be dissected during the medical rite of passage that is gross anatomy. Granted unprecedented access to this previously exclusive world, we follow the students, faculty and body donors on a dramatic and emotional journey into the human body—receiving a true education into their chosen profession as well as a crash course in what it means to be human.

See it at the Oriental Theatre on Saturday, October 20 at 7 p.m.
