We're obsessed with mushrooms this week on 'This Bites'
Several Wisconsin restaurant owners have dubbed a man as "Mushroom Mike," due to his reliability to supply mushrooms to their businesses.

Mike Jozwik, better known as Mushroom Mike, started by selling mushrooms to farmers markets and local businesses such as Lake Park Bistro when he was an undergraduate. Now he has an official company and website, MushroomMikeLLC.com. Jozwik grows mushrooms and other speciality greens at a small factory in the Harbor District of Milwaukee and is in the process of building a larger facility in the New Berlin area.
Mushroom Mike supplies products directly to his restaurant partners. These places include Odd Duck, DanDan, Morel and several others. A few of these restaurants also host mushroom dinners throughout the year which are sponsored by Mushroom Mike.
On May 23, there will be a Morel Mushroom Dinner at Lake Park Bistro which will be five courses and will feature five different drink pairings.

Lumpia Eating Contest
Lumpia City will host a lumpia eating contest April 28. The first person to finish all 15 pieces of their Sriracha Pork Lumpia, or the most within five minutes, will be crowned Lumpia City's 2019 Lumpia Eating Champ. The winner will also receive a full refund of their ticket purchase which is $35. The ticket includes a Lumpia City t-shirt that will be worn for the event and a $5 ticket voucher for a pint from Third Space Brewing.
Honey Pie Pie Sessions
Honey Pie will host several sessions at Palomino this month ranging from a hands-on lesson in crafting classic buttery pie crust, to a tutorial in making buttery handmade biscuits. These classes all start at 6 p.m. and last 2-3 hours. Remaining classes include the April 21-23 and 28-30. Check out the full list and descriptions of the sessions here.
Behind the Bar: Music Inspiration
Bittercube Bar & Bazaar will host a music inspired event April 20th. Bar Manager and Bittercube Research & Development Coordinator, Brandon Reyes, will give a behind-the-scenes look at their approach to pairing cocktails with music. Specifically, they want to talk about the various ways that their team found inspiration for coupling drinks with the music of Prince. Reyes will also give tips for throwing themed parties at home. The event will feature two cocktail tastings as well.
