Feature length film, 'Give Me Liberty, to shoot in Milwaukee in 2015

Give Me Liberty

It's not too often a feature length film -- actually shot on film -- is made in Milwauke.  But two local writer-producers are working now to make it happen, scouting locations and raising money in hopes they'll be able to begin shooting in February 2015.
The dark comedy film, Give Me Liberty, follows a 19-year-old Russian immigrant who works as a medical transport driver.  His grandfather’s health is failing, and he is trying to raise enough money to keep him out of a nursing home.

He breaks the law.  He meets a no-rules fighter.  He "turns Milwaukee upside down," according to Alice Austen and Kirill Mikhanovsky, writers and producers of the film.

Right now, Austen and Mikhanovsky have launched a Kickstarter campaign with a goal to raise at least $35,000.  By following this link you can view a short video about the film and support the campaign.

Video is added regularly to Liberty's Youtube channel.  You can also follow the film on its official Facebook page.
