Bronzeville Arts Ensemble </br> works to strike racial balance in local theater

A unique residency program at the Milwaukee Repertory Theater is working to involve artists of color in all aspects of theater production.

The Bronzeville Arts Ensemble launched in 2013, and in addition to crating a diverse lineup of productions, it also works with local schools and community organizations to bring theatrical expression to all.

According to its mission statement:

"Bronzeville Arts Ensemble illuminates the black experience in America by developing and creating theater while also providing artistic and educational programming opportunities, committed to collaborating with the local and national community, inspiring healing and positive social change."
