It's one of the most famous foods in the world -- pizza.
There are many styles of pizza, and you can get it almost anywhere.
But believe it or not, there was a time when pizza wasn't available in Milwaukee. And doesn't seem that long ago.
The year was 1945, and team of Italian immigrants were hearing about pizza's popularity in major cities like New York and Chicago. They saw an opportunity to bring it to the Brew City.
John Caravella and Joe Todaro worked together at the Caradaro Club, spending a full year developing the recipe, along with Todaro's wife, Agatha. It was a long and unforgiving process, but all the work was worth it because by the end of 45, Milwaukee pizza was born.
