Why come to Making Music? Here are four reasons:

1. See the future

Technology is changing how musicians co-create songs. Sometimes, they just send audio files to each other and don’t even meet in person. What’s next? Hear from Michael Perman, a leading futurist, author of “Craving the Future” — and a Milwaukee native.

2. Let your creative out

Summon your creative courage and take part in a song-writing activity. (No pressure! Just fun!) Peter Himmelman, a Emmy- and Grammy-nominated singer/songwriter and film and television composer, will lead you through it.

3. An on-the-fly mini-concert

We’ll collect the audience’s lyrics and hand them to Trapper Schoepp and his band. They’ll collaborate on-the-fly and turn those lyrics into songs.
