As cities grow, they inevitably are faced with tough decisions involving the built environment. Milwaukee is no exception.
Some old buildings get torn down to make way for new ones, while others are spared for historical reasons, or they simply aren’t in the path of new development.
The local urban landscape has been in a state of continuous change since the city’s founding. But was all the demolition worth it?
That’s the question OnMilwaukee’s Bobby Tanzilo and I address, exploring a few bygone Milwaukee buildings on this episode of Urban Spelunking.
