Before they say ‘I do,’ our Cinebetrothed say ‘yep’ to ‘NOPE’

Every week, Kristopher Pollard from Milwaukee Film and a mystery co-host talk about movies and maybe — just maybe — become Cinebuds.

This week on “Cinebuds,” we talk about the new Jordan Peele horror film, “NOPE,” and continue our search for a new bud with the one and only Nicole Peterson. She's a science teacher and papier-mâché sculptor, and just so happens to be engaged to ME!

Nepotism? Sure. Of course. But I’ll do whatever I have to do to keep her interested.

“NOPE” stars Daniel Kaluuya, Keke Palmer and Steven Yeun, and takes place on a horse ranch where some extraterrestrial-seeming shizz takes place. Peele's style shines again in this film and provides more layers than most horror films. But is this film smarter than me? Most are. It's still worth digging into. And did Nicole's "issues" with horses affect her viewing? Find out!

We also talk about what else we've been watching (spoiler: a lot of “E.R.” reruns).

Please like, share and subscribe to “Cinebuds” anywhere you listen to podcasts, and check out radiomilwaukee.org/podcasts for our archive of shows. You can also follow @cinebudspodcast on Instagram to get involved … platonically! I'm engaged!
