Miller Park will host Wisconsin's first statewide Voter Registration Drive-Thru on Tuesday

Yesterday the Milwaukee Brewers played their final home game of the regular season at Miller Park, but the city still has big plans for the ballpark this year. Later this fall, from Oct. 20 to Nov. 1, it will serve as an early voting site for City of Milwaukee residents, and tomorrow (Sept. 22) it will host Wisconsin's first statewide Voter Registration Drive-Thru.

In support of National Voter Registration Day, the ballpark will host the registration drive from 2-7 p.m., and it will be open to all Wisconsin residents. Participants will also be encouraged to request absentee ballots that will be mailed to their homes.

The event will be staffed by volunteers from Wisconsin Voices.

Here's how to participate, via Miller Park's webpage:

• Please bring an acceptable proof of address. A valid photo ID is required to request an absentee ballot in most circumstances.

• Participants are asked to stay in their cars and follow signage through Miller Park where they will be met by a volunteer, in appropriate PPE, to help them through the process.

• In compliance with the state-wide mask policy, participants are asked to please wear a mask when interacting with volunteers.

• Walk-up registrants cannot be accommodated due to COVID-19 precautions and are instead directed to MyVote.wi.gov to receive more information about in-person registration help.

You can find more information about how to vote this year in our 2020 voter guide.
