Kentucky Derby Events in Milwaukee
On May 6, Maxie's will host their 10th Annual Derby Day Party for Hunger Relief. Maxie's will have a special menu featuring dishes like a housemade fried bologna sandwich, country ham mac n' cheese, BBQ spaghetti and more. Drink specials will include Four Roses Bourbon Mint Juleps, Kentucky Ale Bourbon Barrel Ale, and official Derby beer Stella Artois.
Doors open at 1 p.m., with a $15 admission, which goes entirely to Hunger Task Force, Inc. Race time is approximately 5:34 p.m.
The Iron Horse Hotel will host 'Talk Derby to Me' tomorrow beginning at 2pm.
Festivities include photo ops with our horse, “Smokey”, and handler from Milwaukee Coach & Carriage and a live bugler belting out Derby classics like “Call to the Post.” Catch Milwaukee’s favorite all-female old-school country act, the Whiskeybelles from 3pm-5pm in the Yard. Visit the Veuve Cliquot-Moët & Chandon Champagne Bar and try a Ketel One Oaks Lily cocktail, a refreshing vodka-cranberry concoction. Or relax in the Shaker’s Cigar Lounge and puff away just like ol’ Pappy Van Winkle!

The Hilton City Center will also host a Derby party beginning at 2pm. The party will featured cocktails, small plates and more.
