Food Network stars coming to Milwaukee
In 2017, there will be two Food Network stars coming to Milwaukee in 2017. Host of Barefoot Contessa, Ina Garten will be at The Riverside Theater on March 8 for a conversation and Q&A. Then on April 8, Alton Brown will bring his “Eat Your Science” show to the Riverside Theater. Brown says fans can expect “all-new everything including songs, new comedy, new puppets and bigger and better potentially dangerous food demonstrations” making this a show not to be missed!
New restaurant in downtown Waukesha
A new restaurant in Waukesha named Tofte’s Table will be opening on August 30. Tofte’s Table is the creation of Chef Jason Tofte and his wife, Cristina Tofte. The restaurant will serve shareable comfort food classics like meatloaf and fried chicken. Other dishes will include octopus and foie gras. Check out the restaurant’s website here.
Story Hill BKC will host its next Bar Bites event on Aug 29. They will be hosting eight regional craft breweries at a lively beer-centric tasting event. Breweries include Lakefront, O’so, Surly, Potosi, New Glarus, Point, Hinterland, and Door County. Food to include dishes like Brie puff pastries, Buffalo chicken bites, smoked coffee rib tips and green papaya salad; and duck bratwurst.
The Plate Collective, a collaboration between Milwaukee potter Kate Riley and local area chefs, are host ing another dinner at DanDan on Sep. 18. There will be a five course meal with wine pairings!
