Each Friday at 8am on 88Nine, Milwaukee Magazine’s dining critic, Ann Christenson, and 88Nine foodie Tarik Moody discuss Milwaukee’s culinary and restaurant culture. In case you miss their segments on the air, here they are.

Support for This Bites comes from hankr. The new visual food-finding app using photos of dishes available at Milwaukee restaurants to help hungry people figure out what they are in the mood to eat. The hankr app is available for Apple orAndriod devices.
This week, Ann and I talked about Milwaukee Magazine's cover story on Global Dining. Ann shared some of her favorite ethnic restaurants including Mendy, a Middle Eastern restaurant; Guadalajara, a Mexican Restaurant; and Anmol, a Pakistani restaurant.

Next, we talked about three places to get some amazing fried chicken dinners.  On Tuesday's, Maxie's offers a fried chicken dinner, which they call Chicken-Fried Tuesdays. On Wednesday's, Hinterland offers a $13 fried half chicken dinner. Over at Lazy Susan, they offer Korean Fried Chicken dinner once a month, which you must make a reservation.

Then on April 21, MATC will hold its annual Five Star Food & Wine event. There will be various stations that will represent a culinary theme like Northern Italy, Asian, Southern, and more.

Finally, we briefly talked about the upcoming grand opening of Gypsy Taco, which will be located at Boone & Crockett.
