The return of Karl Ratzsch, Purple Door's new ice cream flavors and more

Each Friday at 8am on 88Nine, Milwaukee Magazine’s dining critic, Ann Christenson, and 88Nine foodie Tarik Moody discuss Milwaukee’s culinary and restaurant culture. In case you miss their segments on the air, here they are.

This week on This Bites, we talked about the return of the German restaurant Karl Ratzsch; best places to get amazing tacos; Company Brewing's Jazz supper club series; Hinterland's new brunch menu; and Purple Door new ice cream flavors.

On April 18, the legendary German restaurant, Karl Ratzsch will have its grand reopening. The restaurant was taken over by C.1880's executive chef, Thomas Hauck a few months ago.

Tonight, Company Brewing will kick off its Jazz Supper Club series with a tribute to Miles Davis. The menu will feature supper club favorites.

Hinterland will host a special brunch for the kickoff of Milwaukee Beer week this Sunday (April 17).

Finally, Purple door introduced several new ice cream flavors for Milwaukee day. Flavors include mango chutney, which is a collaboration with Irie Zulu; and range bitters chocolate chunk using Bittercube bitters.
