A songwriter with a raw uniquely powerful voice, for the last 20 years, Mark Waldoch has been one of the most distinctive presences in the Milwaukee music scene. Under his current moniker, The Hallelujah Ward, and with the help of his many great friends and musicians, Mark has recently recorded at the legendary Sun Studio in Memphis,Tn. As a solo performer and many numerous Milwaukee based bands as well as the guiding light behind the The Celebrated Workingman, he’s backed Daniel Johnston and shared stages with Arcade Fire, Interpol, Low, Frank Black, Volcano Choir, Bright Eyes and The Walkmen. Performed at Eaux Claire music festival.
Testa Rosa lives to record heart-crushing pop music. They’ve been hailed as “throwbacks to a time when songwriting mattered” by Goldmine Magazine, and “blindingly beautiful” by All Music Guide. Their 4th album, Testa Rosa IV, a musical view-master of life in the storied midwest, will be released on November 29th at Linneman’s (1001 E Locust St). They’ll also be featured at Holiday Special at The Cooperage, December 21st where they perform with Mark Waldoch.
