Milwaukee Film Festival Announces Films For Passport: Germany

The Milwaukee Film Festivalis just around the corner.  This year's festival will run from September 26 - October 10.  The festival recently announced their centerpiece for the event.  In collaboration with Alverno Presents, there will be a screening of Aleksander Dovzhenko’s silent Soviet classic Earth (Zemlya).  The score for the film will be composed and performed by Milwaukee's Altos.  

Today, Milwaukee Film announces that Germany will be the focus of their Passport series. There will be 8 films screened during the festival all having something to with the country of Germany.  Besides film screenings, there will be a lecture on the current state of German cinema led by Dr. Sara Hall of the University of Illinois-Chicago.
