Imagine being homeless at the age of 13.
It is a sad reality too many teens in our city are facing. And that's where Milwaukee teen shelter Pathfinders is stepping in.
In a program called Q-BLOCK, the non-profit serves LGBT identified young people who are either homeless or at risk of becoming homeless due to family rejection or abuse.
The transitional housing program helps young people find their own apartment, and it helps then with the cost for up to one year. Counselors work with them to find jobs and develop personal goals.
Since its inception in 2009, Q-BLOK has helped more than 70 teens get back on their feet from life on the streets.
