City's electric vehicle charging stations reach milestone

The City of Milwaukee is reporting milestone usage of its electric vehicle charging stations in 2013.

More than 100 unique motorists used the public stations to charge their vehicles, in more than 500 sessions, according to data released by the Office of Environmental Sustainability.

We first told you about the stations shortly after they were installed in 2012.  Since then, more stations have popped up around the Milwaukee; you can see a complete list of locations on the city's official website.

Now, the city is turning to the private sector, encouraging businesses owners to install similar stations on private land.
