Milwaukee may soon have two more beer gardens for people to visit this summer.
Proposals are in place to open outdoor gardens at Greendale's Scout Lake Park and at Humboldt Park in Bay View.
The Humboldt Park garden would be operated by St. Francis Brewery, a brewpub located about two miles away from the park. It would be open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily beginning June 2, and patrons would be able to buy beer, soda, and food. The proposal also includes the potential for unamplified acoustic music.
But the Humboldt park beer garden isn't a done deal yet -- residents had a chance to weigh in at a public forum last week. County Supervisor Jason Haas heard feedback from people living in the area, and their concerns over the possible conflict with existing park programming, aging facilities, and parking were addressed.
A final decision will not be announced until later in the spring.
But until then, we want to know what you think. Would you want to see a beer garden at Humboldt Park? Leave a comment in the box below.
