Hundreds of performers and dozens of food vendors were on hand at Bay View's Humboldt Park over the weekend for celebration of Indian culture.
IndiaFest provided a daylong program of events focused on the different cultural assets from each of India's states.
The day began with a parade for children and continued with traditional song, dance and food.
The fest was free and open to the public.
Now in its second year, IndiaFest aims to connect Milwaukeeans -- Indian or not -- to better understand each other and to build relationships, said volunteer organizer Purnima Nath.
