Tour new East Side public library

Have you been to the new library on the East Side of Milwaukee?

It is so cool.

After three years of planning and constuction, the newest branch is finally open for patrons to enjoy.  The design is modern and inviting, totally replacing the aging structure that occupied the corner of Cramer St. and North Ave. since the late 1960s.

The space features a collaborative community room, long bar style seating for laptop use, and an open concept "living room," complete with a gas fireplace.  It also offers a new children's area, laptops for checkout, and abundant computers to use by the hour.
