Milwaukee is known for creating some world famous exports. Beer, motorcycles and..comedy? 2014 marked the 30th anniversary of Comedy Sportz. If you've never been lucky enough to see a show, (they were staples at Summerfest for a few decades) it's like watching a sport, if that sport was comedy. The concept is simple: two teams battling head to head, playing a series of long form improv games. There's a ref. They rack up points. At the end....a winner is declared. Red team or Blue team.
Since it's inception in Milwaukee in 1984, Comedy Sportz has seen franchises open in 24 cities worldwide. In Milwaukee, Comedy Sportz is more than just a live, improv show.
