'Keep on Keepin' On' Friends celebrating the music of Keith Pulvermacher
Friends Phil Norby, Joe Richter, and Rob Anthony come together for a night of special music with The Keith Pulvermacher band. Keith Pulvermacher passed away from multiple myeloma in 2022 but his wish was to 'keep the music alive.' Join us for a memorable night of music among friends.
Joe Richter sings from the heart, emotes his truth with sweet melodies, and telegraphs with no pretension in his approach to the microphone. He channels and emotes the songcraft of his musical idols Billy Joel and Bruce Springsteen while storytelling songs of love and heartbreak. Richter’s early inspirations also included Marc Cohn, Van Morrison, and the King: Elvis. In 2018, Joe released his first full band record entitled, Revival, which received several WAMI and Radio Milwaukee nominations. Local artists Willy Porter and the late Keith Pulvermacher lend solo guitar support on the record. Joe previously released a solo acoustic album in 2012 titled, Grace, which was partially recorded in Nashville at Castle Recording Studios. Joe debuted as the lead vocalist of the Daryl Stuermer Band in 2017, performing the hits of Genesis and Phil Collins. Joe’s enduring love for pop music has inspired him along his musical journey to share some of the finest songs ever written that expand through the decades”
Rob Anthony - Combining the harmony of Midwest Americana with singer-songwriter sensibility and outlining an acoustic instrumentation with a rock edge Rob Anthony is truly at home. His music reaches into the soul, grabs the struggles of the inner man, and weaves it into a solid personal connection between musician and listener. A native of Wisconsin, Anthony’s career has spanned over twenty years releasing 6 albums of music as a solo artist, toured & performed as the guitar player for the Bodeans & Keith Pulvermacher Band and has received numerous awards; awards that have shown he understands the importance of evolution in a musician’s career. But to fully understand the heart of Rob Anthony, all one needs to do is listen to his music.
Phil Norby has long been recognized as one of the premier cover artists in the Midwest, having played shows ranging from weddings, festivals, private/corporate events, bars and restaurants. In recent years, Phil has gained acclaim for his songwriting, having been nominated for several awards and winning the Wisconsin Area Music Industry (WAMI) award for best Americana Band with his former group, Ordinary Heathens. Phil's solo debut, Pollywog, has received closing reviews from several critics.
