Let’s clean up Lincoln Creek! Spend your morning outdoors making a meaningful impact on our watershed and neighborhoods—cleaning up litter, connecting with neighbors, and enjoying the fresh air.

Milwaukee Riverkeeper® Adopt-A-River with the 60th & Lincoln Creek Collective is hosting its final cleanup before the snow flies. Whether you’re coming on your own, with friends, or as a family, every pair of hands helps.

Volunteers of all ages and experience levels are welcome; registration is free and all supplies are provided for this hands-on, fun and tangible way for people to lift up and connect with their environment and community. Volunteers should dress for the weather and outdoor work.

The 60th & Lincoln Creek Collective has officially adopted this stretch of Lincoln Creek, the first community adoption of its kind at this site. The cleanups have become as much about community as they are about the creek itself.

“This site is really big and could use a lot of hands. I’ve been coming here for the past 7 years, and the cleanups get better and better. It’s amazing to see the before and after of work volunteers can do in just a few short hours of spending time outside and having fun together,” says Mary Hacker, an adopter in the 60th & Lincoln Creek Collective. "The cleanup is a big group hug for the river and this neighborhood."
