Psychedelic Rock Journey: 360° Dome Light Show Premiere
Psychedelic Rock Journey: 360° Dome Light Show Premiere
Lie back in a recliner under Lumiadome's 49-foot, 360° dome for the world premiere of Psychedelic Rock Journey, about an hour of light and sound with no screen edge.
On the dome: real liquid light, oils, dyes and water on glass hand-mixed the 1967 ballroom way by Road Flare Visuals of Nashotah and filmed for the dome, plus generative psychedelic visuals. The soundtrack is recorded from vinyl and was selected by Zoe Eckblad, who in 1969 was hired as the first professional female disc jockey in the Sacramento radio market: Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Hendrix, the Grateful Dead, Jefferson Airplane and more.
Live in the room: full-color lasers through haze, ambisonic spatial sound around and overhead, scent, wind and blacklight bubbles.
Saturday, Oct 24, at 6 PM (family-friendly), 8 PM and 10 PM. Doors open 15 minutes before each show. 69 reclining seats per show, $33. Would You Kindly? plays the Jackass Saloon 7–10 PM, no cover, and Road Flare Visuals gives a free demonstration of live liquid light techniques during the evening.
Where: Jennings Holler, W379 S9674 County Rd S, Eagle, WI 53119 (about 45 minutes from Milwaukee)
