April's State of Sound lineup

Hanna Simone — A 25-year-old singer-songwriter who blends her bluesy vocal approach with a high-energy rock edge. Intricate lyrics, matched with her timbre, demonstrate her musical sensibilities as an independent artist who forges connection and creates intimacy with the audience through lyrical vulnerability and honesty.

Jinksie — Scene veterans Wendy Norton, Amelinda Burich and Ryan King bring influences from their extensive record collections into modern times. Whether you’re looking for a tender Go-Gos style track to get ready for a Saturday night out or a heavy banger to smash your ex’s stuff to, Jinksie’s gotcha covered.

Wire & Nail — A Milwaukee combo that loves nothing better than to supply the soundtrack that feels pulled straight from a Saturday night at a Northwoods Tavern. The band comes stacked with tight harmonies, great tone, an on point rhythm section and enough swagger to back it up.

Allison Mahal — Known for her “powerful voice” and “knack for heartbreaking lyrics” (NPR), Mahal's debut album Not Over This Yet (2023), garnered attention from the likes of Under The Radar and Consequence of Sound, who wrote, “it feels as though she’s stepped into some of her own power.”
