Studio K Flamenco Presents: The Flamenco Nutcracker
Studio K Flamenco Presents: The Flamenco Nutcracker
Experience the passion of Flamenco this holiday season as the seventh annual Flamenco Nutcracker returns to the South Milwaukee Performing Arts Center on December 5th. Award-winning choreographer Manuel Gutierrez and Artistic Director Kerensa DeMars create an intimate, exciting experience that transports audiences to Spain. You’ll be clapping along with the infectious rhythms, rapid-fire footwork, and amazing Flamenco guitar riffs.
This isn't your typical Nutcracker: it's a dynamic, fast-paced fusion of live music and dance, featuring an international cast of award-winning artists, including:
Latin Grammy-nominated flamenco guitarist Andres Vadin of Havana, Cuba
Grammy Award-winning percussionist Diego Alvarez of Venezuela
Gypsy Flamenco singer José Cortés
Guest dancers José Junco of Madrid, Spain, and Melissa Cruz of San Francisco
Internationally renowned dancer and choreographer Manuel Gutierrez of Córdoba, Spain, who dazzles in the role of the Matador Prince.
Directed by award-winning choreographer Kerensa DeMars and presented by Milwaukee's own Studio K Flamenco, this family-friendly performance is a truly unique holiday experience and a one-of-a-kind tradition for all ages — right here in Milwaukee. Don't miss it this December at South Milwaukee PAC.
