Grow and connect with a community of educators and learners who "get it."
Attend the new Suzanne Pieper Teaching and Learning Series, which are evening events throughout the academic year that are held at Alverno College in person, featuring the voices of experienced school leaders and researchers. These sessions support professional learning and focus on the theme "Nurturing Thriving Schools & Communities.”
This session featuring guest speaker Jake Daggett, Director of Literacy for K-5, Greater Holy Temple Christian Academy, Milwaukee, WI on the topic "Leading in Literacy: Developing a Laser Light Focus."
Whether the literacy block is 60, 90, or 120 minutes, school districts across the country have been working tirelessly to adapt to new structured literacy requirements, practices, and strategies. As lead teachers, coaches, principals, and directors, developing a strategic plan that includes the path, pedagogy, and pupil in mind is crucial. Join Jake for a session in how we can bring teacher experience to the forefront and develop reachable, focused outcomes in elementary literacy.
