This uplifting holiday classic comes to life as a high-energy radio play, blending 1940s retro charm with hilarious theatrical hijinks, as five multi-talented actors portray dozens of characters with vintage sound effects, favorite songs and lovable Christmas spirit, right in front of your eyes (and ears). A mix of humor, heart and hope, this enchanting show has captivated audiences across the country and delivers a nostalgic treat that’s gift wrapped for you and your loved ones of all ages.

Based on the Irving Berlin classic, Holiday Inn tells the story of Jim, a song-and-dance man who leaves showbiz behind for a quiet life on a farm—until he meets Linda, a spirited schoolteacher with talent to spare. Together they transform the farmhouse into “Holiday Inn,” an inn that comes alive with dazzling performances celebrating each holiday. But when Jim’s old partner Ted tries to lure Linda to Hollywood, Jim must find the courage to fight for love and follow his heart. Filled with Irving Berlin classics, it’s a year-round celebration of music, romance, and joy.

Visitors can enjoy the artwork before, during, and after scheduled performances and community events at the Germantown Performing Arts Center. Many pieces are available for purchase, with special exhibition pricing by contacting the artist directly.

Be transported to the city of lights, where figures like Henry Ossawa Tanner, Josephine Baker, Langston Hughes, Richard Wright, and James Baldwin lived and created in defiance of American racism.

With over 100 objects, including masterpiece paintings and sculptures from The DuSable’s permanent collection, archival photographs, and multimedia elements, Paris in Black tells a global story of Black resilience and creativity.
