Based on the Irving Berlin classic, Holiday Inn tells the story of Jim, a song-and-dance man who leaves showbiz behind for a quiet life on a farm—until he meets Linda, a spirited schoolteacher with talent to spare. Together they transform the farmhouse into “Holiday Inn,” an inn that comes alive with dazzling performances celebrating each holiday. But when Jim’s old partner Ted tries to lure Linda to Hollywood, Jim must find the courage to fight for love and follow his heart. With over 100 objects, including masterpiece paintings and sculptures from The DuSable’s permanent collection, archival photographs, and multimedia elements, Paris in Black tells a global story of Black resilience and creativity.
