Real Estate is the quintessential summertime band for hanging out by the water or driving with the windows down. They've been churning out easygoing tunes for nearly two decades and today announced a new full-length album, Daniel, that will surely follow suit. That announcement included a North American tour, which makes a stop at the soon-to-open Vivarium on April 8.
While early April doesn't typically afford "windows down" weather, I'm confident Real Estate will — at the very least — emulate the vibes of warmer climes. How do I know that? Well, I've seen the band live a handful of times. Songs from their catalog such as "Beach Comber," "Had to Hear" and "It's Real" perennially make my "most listened to" list.
There's also the matter of the band's new song released Monday, "Water Underground," the video for which features some familiar faces if you were a fan of The Adventures of Pete & Pete. The musical aspect fits the mold of the Real Estate we've known that's easy to nod along to. You can watch the full music video below.
Marina Allen is slated to open the show, which goes on sale at 10 a.m. this Friday, Dec. 1, online and at the Pabst/Riverside box offices. For more info on tickets and presales head to the show's webpage.
