Founding drummer of The Cure, Laurence Tolhurst, celebrates a birthday today
Laurence Tolhurst, aka ‘Lol’ was a founding member with Robert Smith but was fired from the band during the ‘Disintegration’ sessions of 1989. Lol wrote and released a memoir last year called ‘Cured: The Tale of Two Imaginary Boys’. We get the cover from Smashing Pumpkins, with guitarist James Iha on vocals instead of Billy Corgan.
