Milwaukee’s concert scene has a lot going on, so we look at the shows coming up to find the ones you’ll look back on and be glad you went. Then we add them to our weekly Milwaukee Concert Picks.
The highlight of our week will undoubtedly be welcoming Milwaukee natives Chauntee and Monique Ross (a.k.a. SistaStrings) and Peter Mulvey to our space today for a Studio Milwaukee Session.
We’ve been delighted to share one of their most powerful songs, “You and (Everybody Else),” on our airwaves these past months. And even though the oft-collaborative musicians now call Nashville and Boston their homes, respectively, they rejoined in 2022 to release Love Is the Only Thing on Righteous Babe Records — an inspiring album filled with elements of classical, gospel and folk.
Ani DiFranco (founder of Righteous Babe) is the dynamic headliner for their show tomorrow night, Jan. 25, at the Pabst Theater, with the Ross sisters and Mulvey bringing a complimentary energy to the bill. Before catching the Pabst show, Radio Milwaukee members will enjoy an intimate performance at our Walker’s Point home (and listeners can tune in to catch the audio magic in action) starting at noon.
